- 7/24/07 -
Getting family members together
for a breakfast or dinner was a little harder this year, but we made
dinner at our favorite place, the Tequila Mexican Restaurant. My
sister, Peggy, would be envious. We visited with lots of
family and friends. I felt very fortunate that I was able to
schedule lunches with both Peggy LaRocque and Marisa Ploog, but was
sad I couldn't meet up with you Cecilia since you were out and about
up in Seattle, Washington!! :( |
Saturday
- 7/21/07 - Made it back to Merced
and staying at the Castle RV Park. The sunsets are pretty out
here. Weather
sure is different from the cool 70 degrees in Santa Cruz that we
just left. We will be meeting up with as many friends and family as
we can during the next few days as we will be leaving Thursday night
late so we can get through Sacramento after the heavy traffic time.
We have reservations for three weeks at Thousand Trails (TT)
Pacific City Preserve in Oregon. After
that, we will head on up to the TT
Seaside Preserve also in Oregon
for two weeks. These links are to the two preserves that we
are going to stay at again. I really like staying in these places since it
doesn't cost us anything and they all have pools. :) Rebecca
and family are on the road returning back from Las Vegas as I post.
The movers loaded all their furniture yesterday and will be
delivering it up to Spokane WA at some point in time. I received a
call from Rebecca today and they were in Dillon, Montana. We're not
sure where we are going to live at this time, but Rebecca would love
for us to settle up where she is going to live. Who knows???? -

Tuesday
- 7/17/07 -We have been at
Seacliff for four
days and it is so nice. The sound of the ocean 24/7 is wonderful! The weather has been in the 60's and 70's,
sun shining and not much wind. It's really nice. It's going to be
tough coming to the hot weather in Merced when we leave Friday!! The
stairs in the pictures are a tough one. I think Lester and I had to
stop several times before we got to the top. Yesterday, I think it
was only once for Lester and twice for me. As soon as I finish
getting these pages posted, we're going for our walk. Lester said he
thinks he can go the entire 150 steps without stopping?? We'll see. I may have
to stop at least once?? - Shirley |
Saturday
- 7/7/07 - We are headed back down to California
and are currently in Eugene, Oregon. The 13th of July thru the 19th
of July, we will be at Seacliff State Beach right on the ocean.
Since Mike and Rebecca are up in Spokane, WA checking on a rental
and planning on getting their furniture moved up from Las Vegas,
they are unable to use their Seacliff reservation, so we are going
to use it for them...JJ
July 20 to July 27, we will be in Merced. -

Monday
- 7/2/07 - Well, we've left the Alderwood RV and
are staying at the Spokane RV Resort for a week. Mike, Rebecca and
kids will probably be here for a month.
I celebrated my 61st
birthday here. While I now try to forget these 60's birthdays, my
grandkids don't see it that way. Carly made me a birthday card from
everyone, Kyle made these awesome brownies and Rebecca made my
favorite tacos.
What a great day. - Shirley |
