Friday
- 6/29/07 -
We're here in Spokane, WA with Mike and Rebecca and have been here
for about a week at the
Alderwood RV
place. We're all leaving today and headed up to Deer Park to another
RV place. Mike and Rebecca will be there for a month and we will be
leaving there next Friday headed for the Washington/Oregon coast and
then to Seacliff for a week on the ocean. When we get moved to the
next RV site, I'll update with some photos. Take care everyone!!

Saturday
- 6/23/07 - 6:00 a.m. - Good morning everyone.
We're in Clinton, British Columbia, Canada. Lester drug me out of
bed at 5:30 a.m. this morning. We need to put some miles behind us
today! I posted one picture on the home page and will post the other
pictures I've taken so far on our tour through British Columbia,
Canada. Weather is really nice. 10:00 p.m. - OK Everyone...try going to bed at 10
p.m. and it's still light outside!!! How strange. We're in
Chetwynd, BC,
Canada right now.

Friday
- 6/22/07 - Well,
it's 1:46 a.m. Friday morning, couldn't sleep, so got up and did
some posting. We're going through British Columbia again headed for
Washington to meet up with Rebecca and family. We stopped at the
Toad River RV, but they didn't have any vacancies. We were out of
water in our holding tank so while Lester filled up, I went into
their little restaurant and used their WIFI to check e-mail. Met
some nice people there and swapped website addresses. As soon as we
get to an RV park that has WIFI, I'll get the pictures posted that
I've taken so far. I have to say, the different route we took was
worse than the other one, BUT...we ended up on the "On
Top of the World"
road, believe it or not. I read about it when I was looking through
the Alaska books we had accumulated. The road was gravel 99% of the
way, rough and extremely dusty. Our poor RV and car looked like it
was buried in dust!! Well, it's 3:50 a.m., guess I'll go to bed.

Well, the
time has come and we are leaving Alaska this morning headed for
Spokane, WA to meet up with the kids. We are taking a little
different route so we can miss the two bad/bumpy roads that you have
to travel 30 mph on! :) I've changed The Journal pages so when you
click on "The Journal" it will take you to the most current
happenings. -

Sunday
- 6/17/07 - We
went to
Denali National Forest
today. The weather was rainy and cloudy and I had
to take the pictures out the front window of the bus. The side
windows were dirty and messy from the wet/muddy road in some parts.
We cleaned them off at each stop, but within a few minutes, they
were right back to a messy window. The weather changes so fast here.
You can drive in only 14 miles in a car and if you want to go
further into the park, it has to be by shuttle bus, so that's what
we did. There are different tours - one of which went in 53 miles
and that is the tour we took. The most you can go in by shuttle is
65 miles and that takes 8 hours...ours was a 6 hour trip.

Friday
- 6/15/07 -
It's 4 a.m. in this picture, couldn't sleep, so got up and posted
some pictures of the RV park we're staying at right now. It's
raining outside and daylight as usual. :) This afternoon we have to
go into Fairbanks and pick up two new tires for our trailer...$100
each!!! When we were coming through British Columbia, Lester had to
slam on his brakes and apparently the brakes on the tow trailer
locked up. He was checking the tires the other day and noticed the
bad spots on each of the tires. Oh well, that's part of RV life. The
positive side is when we went into Bridgestone Tires yesterday, they
had to order the tires from Anchorage and they get their shipments
via truck on Tuesdays and Fridays, so that was good. -

Well, it's 5:30 p.m. and we just pulled into the
Riverview RV Park
at 1316
Badger Road, North Pole, AK 99705. The P.O. Box address shows
Fairbanks. We will be here for about a week.

We're here at the
Talkeetna Camper Park
in Talkeetna, Alaska. I
was going to go around and take pictures of this little town, but
it's been raining all day. Love it! We're just hanging out today and
will be leaving Tuesday morning. This link is the RV Park's website.

Thursday
- 6/7/07 - We've
been in Alaska now for six days. I just called this morning and made
reservations on the
26 Glacier
Cruise
through Phillips Cruises & Tours for this
Saturday. We are taking the train trip from Anchorage to Whittier
and from Whittier we leave on the glacier tour. You are always
taking a chance on the weather because it's ever changing here so
hopefully the glaciers won't be covered with clouds, etc. -

Wednesday
- 6/6/07
- Today we thought we would go
check out the
Alaska Zoo.
A lot of the animals in this particular zoo were there because they
were injured at some time. Many have been returned to the
wild while others remain in the zoo. -

the end of the peninsula and met up with
Debbie and Greg Gomes.
We met up in Alaska...how cool is that. Debbie
said she wasn't coming back!!! :) Check out the pictures on our way

Friday
- 6/1/07 -
Good morning everyone!
The
Toad River Lodge
is a pretty neat
place. It has WiFi so I was able to post pictures taken in the last
couple of days. This RV park boasts 7,000 hats on their web page.
There is absolutely NO phone reception up here. The weather is
beautiful. Well, have to go and get posted so we can hit the road
again! -
